2009 Harvest

Image:

The first grapes have been harvested in the terroir of La Colline in September 7th , three weeks earlier than last year.

Winter has been very wet and summer hot and dry. We picked up the grapes well ripened and in perfect sanitary state of the crop.

We had to stop harvesting for a few days in middle of September because of the rain, but then since September 20th the wind “Mistral” started blowing and we have been able to continue the harvest in great conditions.

Rosé tanks are still fermenting and we already see an intense fruit and a good balance.

Red tanks are now fermenting (Syrah and the first Cabernet Sauvignon picked) they are already very coloured and they develop intense aromas of red fruits.

The last Cabernet Sauvignon will be harvested at the beginning of October to obtain the best fenolic maturity.

The vintage 2009 looks promising with a good potential of ageing.
